Sometimes (just sometimes) I wish the trees would align themselves more prettily along the creek...
Folks heading home
Taken around 5 p.m. or so - we really need more snow to a) enable me to take more photos b) help the MDlanders and DCites get used to some snow on the roads...
Thanasis all bundled up - I knit the scarf and hat for him. (the gauge on the hat didn't quite match the wool thickness so the hat hasn't quite fulfilled its purpose. Well, at least it matches the scarf!
Sleet on the car window
I liked the icicle formation and the light interference under it.
Jan. 12 (actually shot on the 17th) - slipped up a few days there...
Taken from the kitchen window.
Peering into the lily...
Kinda liked the soft hazy look...
Tried some lighting experiments with the flower - not quite there as yet.
(A tribute to Imogen Cunningham - am reading through her book 'Flora')
All that glitters... is usually gold.
Totally at a loss for ideas - wanted to experiment with ideas for 'hand', finally ended up with this. sigh.
Rose in bloom
For Jan. 05
Minimalism in pink and yellow
Mark Twain or Albert Einstein?
Actually, this is our good friend Paul. A mathematician - also a great cook. Am trying for a good portrait for LPS 20.
(Actually the orange toothpick was suspended by a thin fibre hanging from the yellow toothpick).
P.S.: Just want to thank everyone for your kind comments and words on my pregnancy photo. It's been a rough past few months, and I've felt much much better after all that positive feedback :-)
My first (and probably only!) photo of my pregnancy and 8 more weeks to go! Didn't even want to take this photo, but between demands, threats and pleas from my family, I finally decided to give in.
