He goes to day care (for a brief period) from monday. I'll miss having him around all the time, but will be very happy to get some time to myself :-)

Another sunrise, another day

Taken at the beach down the road from my grandparents'. A lot of my early childhood was spent here - alas, the beach has become so dirty and filthy, it's tragic.

Before the storm

Thank you all for your kind comments and thoughts on my grandfather. He was more like a father to us - very forward in his thinking, a strict disciplinarian, believing in equal rights and status for women and always encouraging everyone to excel academically. It will be hardest on my grandmother - having been with him for 72 years!

In memory of a great life and person - my dearest grandfather.

This was taken on Oct. 22nd - two days before he passed away. My brother had just arrived in India and my grandfather was beside himself with emotion when he realized who it was. My brother and I feel very fortunate to have been able to spend his last days with him.
